In December 2022 we were thrilled to report that the first ‘Welcome to Canada’ program was a success. We are happy to provide an update that the program continues and has expanded in scope to include more activities and program partners. This annual showcase of the next generation of artists is an opportunity for youth aged 18 and under to display their artwork in the Community Art Gallery at the Nature Centre. The exhibition will be on display from September 20 to October 30, 2022.

These measures are in effect across Alberta in an effort to slow the spread of the virus in our communities and protect our healthcare system. As a result of mandatory restrictions the Helen Schuler Nature Centre facility will be closed December 13, 2020 until January 2021.
Read MoreThroughout October Lethbridge residents will be asked to provide their thoughts about recreation and preservation in the river valley. Households will be mailed a postcard early in the month that directs them to a survey on the City’s Get Involved Lethbridge webpage. The postcard provides each household with its own, unique code that will allow them access to answer the questions.
