River Valley Exhibit
On your next visit to the Helen Schuler Nature Centre, discover Lethbridge's unique environments – from the grassland prairie, to the coulees, to the cottonwood forest, and the Oldman River! This foundational exhibit will help you understand the diversity of life our region supports.
Designing and planning for the River Valley Exhibits spanned more than 5 years and represents the collective work of more nearly 50 community organizations and environmental groups, individuals and businesses. The end results represents the collective knowledge and support of our community. The exhibits feature the main ecological zones found in the Lethbridge river valley – the river, coulees and cottonwood forests. This ecological view is balanced with an exhibit that features a Blackfoot Ecological Approach.
The River Valley Exhibit at Helen Schuler Nature Centre is a primary focal point for visitors learning about Lethbridge's unique ecosystems. The Friends of Society helped to raise funds for this $225,000 project!
