Temporary Facility Closure - December 13 until January 2021

UPDATE - the temporary facility closure has been extended - check the Nature Centre’s website for the latest information and updates.

Staff at the Helen Schuler Nature Centre are working hard and are committed to serving the community to support and inspire closer relationships with the natural world around us.

On December 8, 2020 the provincial government issued stronger mandatory public health measures related to the COVID pandemic. These measures are in effect across Alberta in an effort to slow the spread of the virus in our communities and protect our healthcare system. Click for more information.

As a result of mandatory restrictions the Helen Schuler Nature Centre facility will be closed December 13, 2020 until January 20, 2021.

We all have a responsibility to follow public health guidelines to help prevent the spread of COVID and bend the curve.

While the Nature Centre facility is temporarily closed due to the COVID-19 pandemic, nature is still available! Please take a moment to learn more about the Nature Centre’s programming at their website: Lethbridge.ca/nature

We encourage you to follow the Nature Centre’s social media to stay up to date on Outdoor Adventure Activities and StoryWalks that are available in river valley parks.

Check out StoryWalk on the trails at the Nature Reserve Park - on until January 24, 2021!

Check out StoryWalk on the trails at the Nature Reserve Park - on until January 24, 2021!

We also encourage you to consider making a new tradition by booking a Family Field Trip with interpretive staff from the Nature Centre. This is a great opportunity to learn about our wild neighbours while spending time outside with family!!

Above all, we strongly encourage you to follow mandatory public health measures so we can get through this together.

Thank you for your support of the Helen Schuler Nature Centre!

We wish you a safe and joy-filled holiday season, and we look forward to connecting again soon in 2021!!!

With thanks,
