Listen for tree swallow’s unusual high pitched song: a metallic, buzzy “klweet”. Look for flashes of their deep-blue iridescent backs and white bellies as these birds fly in and out of their nests. Tree swallows nest in natural cavities of trees or old woodpecker holes.
