Moving Beyond Climate Anxiety Workshop

Have you ever found yourself faced with an intense sense of inexplicable grief connected to the loss of place? Does the uncertainty of the future make you anxious? If you answered yes, then you may be facing eco-grief or eco-anxiety.

In June 2019 we were proud to partner with Environment Lethbridge and Rotary Urban Spirits to explore these concepts. We hosted an ‘Experiencing Eco-Grief Workshop’ with Refugia Retreats that provided participants with several different techniques to approach this unorthodox grief, incorporate a level of creativity as an outlet for dealing with ecological guilt, and engage in conversation.

Now are you looking to move from climate anxiety to climate action?

We are proud to partner with Environment Lethbridge again to offer the ‘Moving Beyond Climate Anxiety Workshop’ to help you discover your inner strengths as a climate leader.

Using an appreciative inquiry model, this workshop uses personal storytelling to help you explore your connection to the natural world and give you confidence to make future contributions as a climate leader.

Climate anxiety can feel overwhelming and it can be difficult to know where to begin. Join Kathleen Sheppard, Environment Lethbridge’s Executive Director, in this one-day workshop that will help you explore your personal connection with nature and use that to build your own pathway to climate action.

Appreciative inquiry is a model that uses affirmational interviews to drive personal and organizational change. Rather than approaching problem solving through a deficit-focused lens, appreciative inquiry is grounded in an appreciation of positive change.

Admission to this workshop is on a pay-what-you-can basis. The full value of this workshop is $75 for the day. Lunch and snacks are included.

Please register through Eventbrite. Spaces are limited.
