We are looking for Community Leaders to join our Board of Directors

Are you passionate about environmental education and the importance of nature? Are you an active community leader who wants to support nature interpretation in Lethbridge? We want you!

We are recruiting board members with diverse backgrounds, and have a specific need for experience in the following areas:

  • Finance

  • Fundraising

  • Legal and risk management

  • Environmental issues

  • Environmental education programming

Our Board of Directors meets at least four times per year to provide governance to the Society, plan fundraising initiatives, discuss program opportunities, and strategically plan. Anyone (aged 16+) is welcome to join our board and intake generally takes place during our Annual General Meeting in March.

Prior board experiences are not required but a great asset. Directors are expected to make a two-year commitment.

Our Bylaws provide structure and rules to our organization, while our Objectives provide an overview of our purpose as a charitable society. Our Executive Handbook provides an overview of the roles and responsibilities of our Board of Directors. Annual Reports provide a high level understanding of our efforts and accomplishments. Please let us know if you are interested in joining our Board of Directors and plan to attend our upcoming Annual General Meeting on Sunday March 12 at 7pm.
