Travel Adventures: Premiere Screening of Rick Andrews' latest wildlife films

  • Helen Schuler Nature Centre Indian Battle Road South South Lethbridge, AB, Canada (map)

See them here first! Rick Andrews is back with two brand new wildlife films; American Bison and Sandhill Cranes. A Q&A with the filmmaker will follow.

Rick Andrews is a Lethbridge wildlife photographer and more recently a wildlife film maker. His wildlife images and documentary films have been seen around the world via his website and You Tube.

Rick loves not only visiting, photographing and filming the great outdoors, but also sharing his wildlife adventures too. It is his hope this may not only increase his viewers appreciation of our natural world and the wildlife that inhabit it, but perhaps also to inspire them to get out and experience a little of it for themselves wherever they may live.

AMERICAN BISON

Filmed in Canada and the U.S. over a 2 year period, this video documents both the history and behaviour of the two subspecies of American Bison - the Wood Bison and the more commonly known Plains Bison.

SANDHILL CRANES

Filmed in both Canada and the U.S., this video follows the incredible age-old migration of Sandhill Cranes from their wintering grounds in the southern U.S. to their nesting grounds in Canada. This documentary then intimately follows a pair of sandhill cranes as they bond, nest and raise the next generation.

Travel Adventures is an ongoing series presented by the Friends of the Helen Schuler Nature Centre Society where local world travelers share their adventures with photographs that will help you discover the plants, animals, and people of places you’ve always dreamed of exploring!

Everyone is welcome to attend! Admission is by donation. All funds raised will support the Helen Schuler Nature Centre and nature interpretation in Lethbridge.
