Travel Adventures is an ongoing series presented by the Friends of the Helen Schuler Nature Centre Society where local world travelers share their adventures with photographs that will help you discover the plants, animals, and people of places you’ve always dreamed of exploring! The next Travel Adventure presentation will be:
"Cape to Cape" with John Nightingale
Friday February 8 at 2pm
in Helen Schuler Nature Centre Community Room
Find out what life is like on board Europa, a 56m tall - sailing ship, in the vast and unpredictable Southern Ocean toward Antarctica and beyond! John Nightingale spent 52 days at sea, departing from Ushuaia, Argentina sailing through the Beagle Channel, negotiating the infamous Drake Passage en route to the Antarctic Peninsula. Finally crossing the southern Atlantic Ocean, via South Georgia and Tristan Da Cunah to Cape Town, South Africa.
